Express Baseball

We finally made it to a game last night at Dell Diamond. Leia was very excited to see Spike the baseball dog (and then she wouldn't get near him when it was our turn for a photo op!) and the boys were thrilled to play with their friends Henry and Eli and eat cotton candy and baseball treats. Home Depot sponsored a building area and all of the kids were able to make a tool box...Leia even hammered her own nails!

VBS

The kiddos had a blast last week at Palm Valley Lutheran VBS. I helped out at the marketplace with crafts and enjoyed chatting with my friend, Tomi.

Crazy hair day! 6 families from our church participated in this VBS so the kids had lots of friends.

PTA summer leadership seminar

I had the chance to attend the annual PTA leadership seminar again this summer, along with some other sweet friends and board members. We all enjoyed our trip to Dallas, complete with a stop at In N Out on the way there and back for my crew ( I blame Kelly!). :-) The seminar courses were informative and the team bonding over meals was very valuable. I love my TvE PTA!

My roomie for the weekend. Barie brought Krue along and he was great! Such a cutie.

Back at the beginning of the summer Landon, Lincoln and the Ferguson boys took a free martial arts lesson. All the boys were thrilled to break a board.

Vipers Basketball

Landon is playing YMCA basketball this summer on the Vipers and doing great. He is one of the tallest players on the team and that helps him get lots of rebounds.

Face Painting Fun

Rory's 7th birthday party was a blast and the kiddos loved the face painter.

Road Trip Summer 2013

Never a dull moment in Murray land...we planned an epic 4,000 mile road trip for our summer vacation, knowing I would be 35 weeks pregnant! We travelled 7 states and saw 6 National Parks and many points of interest, explored 2 theme parks, an aquarium and a water park, and saw friends and family. Enjoy the posts below of our epic road trip family vacation! :-)

On our first day we drove through Texas and made it into the New Mexico mountains!

Happy travelers with their silly treat from the ticket bag (for every hour of driving on the way out to CA they got a ticket to redeem for a candy or prize!).

Stopped in Rosewell, New Mexico to get pics with these aliens and bought some fireworks.

Family picture in Rosewell.

My preggo feet were already swollen on day 1 and this cool mountain creek felt great!

Made some new friends at this creek.

New Mexico

First hotel stop on the road trip was Aborgaddo, New Mexico and then we visited the National White Sands Monument. Amazing! Tried to make it to the Gila Cliff Dwellings but got detoured by a forest fire and made it to the park only to be told it closed 1/2 hour earlier due to lightening. :-/ We were disheartened and decided to take a different route to California and miss the mountains of Arizona and Montezuma's Castle due to the epic day trip in New Mexico.
