Happy Birthday, Leia

Leia celebrated her 3rd birthday on Monday and had a blast playing with friends at Chuck E Cheese.

Blackman Birthday Celebration

We celebrated birthdays and Baby Luke with the Blackman Family today at Hula Hut. It was so fun to see my aunt, uncle and cousin and they spoiled us with gifts. Thank you, Glenda, Gary & Hayley!

We have to get some enjoyment out of our trips the the Dermatologist, Dr. Tee, to try to get rid of Lincoln's warts and molluscum...here is Linco as Dr. Freeze, pouring out the extra nitrogen....he loves it!

Notice the gloves on his feet! My children all had latex gloves on hands and feet when the doctor came in! Luckily he has children.

Destination Baby Shower

My dear friend, Barie, planned a destination shower for me at our friend, Franki's house this past weekend. We headed up on Friday and had some great girl time (plus newborn baby Krue!). Saturday was the official shower, which consisted of lots of my favorite foods and treats and relaxation pool side in Franki's amazing backyard. Felt so blessed and loved...it was wonderful! Six Flags Fiesta Waterpark

Last week we continued our summer fun by venturing to Six Flags Fiesta Texas to try out their waterpark. Nancy and Jordan joined our crew and we had a good time...until we got evacuated from the park due to thunder/lightening storm and rain! A memory for sure!

Happy 7, Landon!

Our firstborn shares his birthday with Father's Day this year, so we celebrated early with his XBox party, but he had fun today and got to be first in line at church for everything as the birthday boy and he chose to go swimming this afternoon while his dad took a nap. :-)

Landon has taught me so much and being his mom has humbled, challenged, blessed me and made me realize my sinfulness, weakness and need for God's grace in completely new ways!

He is a gamer and loves to play XBox- alone and with friends. He still loves chicken nuggets and continues to be very social.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to Aaron, the amazing father of my children, and to my wonderful Dad, Bob the builder (he built 2 of the houses we lived in from the ground up!). I'm blessed to have a father that loved me well, sacrificed for my well-being, taught me a strong work ethic and most of all taught me to love God and love others. My dad gave me a good example of what I should look for in a husband and father and I am very grateful he set the bar high. Thanks, Bob Bob!


Aaron, you are a great dad to our kids and they all love you and have so much fun with you. Thank you for making sacrifices every day, big and little, to provide for our family and allow me to stay at home and take care of our kids. We love and respect you!

My Big Girl

Leia turns three in two weeks and she is growing up fast! She is almost potty-trained and just this week she decided to sleep in her "big girl bed" for naps and at night! She stays in there even when she is awake until I come get her! Amazing!






Leia loves to play pretend these days and have "picnics" with me. She serves me food and drinks and then has me watch her baby while she goes to work!

We had a yummy lunch today courtesy of Aaron's company. They rented out the Zilker Clubhouse that has great views of downtown Austin and they hired P. Terry's to provide a burger trailer and Ice Cream Social for sundaes. Leia made a new doggy friend under the table! It's a younger crew at BAS and they have more pets than kiddos.

Madison used to be our neighbor and she has grown up with our kiddos as their honorary big sister. She has held Lincoln and Leia as infants and was a huge help with our foster baby, Fernando. She just graduated 5th grade and spent a few days with us so far this summer.
